Compare restaurant menus and locationsBeef and water for tteokguk
The tteokguk recipe starts with 300 g sliced rice cakes, 150 g beef, and 1 litre water. It builds the broth with the beef rather than calling for a carton of finished stock. The rice cakes soak for 15 minutes first; frozen rice cakes need thawing before that step. Egg and seaweed flakes finish the bowls.
Prepared broth and dumplings for tteok-mandu-guk
The dumpling version uses 500 g sliced rice cakes, 12 mandu, and 1.4 litres beef bone broth. It assumes the dumplings already exist; it does not include wrapper or filling preparation. The rice cakes enter the simmering broth before the mandu, with beaten egg and green onion added near the end. Check the dumpling product and filling rather than assuming every packet follows the same cooking instructions.
Add jeon only if a second cooking station fits
The assorted jeon platter requires ground-meat-and-tofu patty mix, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms, chilies, flour, and eggs. Each piece passes through flour and egg before frying in small batches. It uses the frying pan while soup uses the pot, but still needs active attention at the stove. The patty mix ratio is not supplied, so this is not a complete from-scratch filling recipe.

Do I need beef bone broth for both soups?
No. Tteokguk uses beef and water to make its broth. Tteok-mandu-guk explicitly calls for 1.4 litres beef bone broth.
Are tteokbokki cylinders the rice cakes specified here?
Both ingredient lists call for sliced rice cakes. These methods do not provide a cooking-time conversion for thick cylindrical rice cakes.
